Our 18–29 month classroom is designed to support toddlers as they grow into more independent, curious, and active learners. This age group is full of energy, imagination, and a strong desire to explore their world. The classroom provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can develop at their own pace.
The room is arranged with clearly defined learning areas that encourage hands-on exploration, including blocks, dramatic play, sensory experiences, books, art, and fine motor activities. Materials are at child level to promote independence and choice. Daily routines offer a balance of active play, quiet time, group activities, and individual learning moments.
Teachers focus on building trusting relationships with each child, supporting social–emotional growth, language development, and self-help skills. Activities encourage emerging skills such as problem-solving, sharing, expressing needs with words, and beginning toilet learning when developmentally ready.
A typical day includes:
Circle time with songs, stories, and movement
Indoor and outdoor play for gross motor development
Small group activities to build early cognitive and social skills
Sensory and art exploration to spark creativity and curiosity
Rest time to support healthy growth and self-regulation
