The  4 year old and JK Wrap-Around  program provides a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for children who either just miss the cut off for JK at the public school or for those enrolled in a 4-year-old kindergarten program.   We extend learning beyond the classroom, offering quality care before and after the standard school day to support working families.

While at Rays the children in the Goodness classroom will explore through the following interest areas:

  • Circle Time/Group Area: A cozy space for group activities, storytime, music, and discussions, promoting social interaction and listening skills.

  • Art and Creativity: An area stocked with paints, crayons, clay, and craft materials to encourage self-expression and fine motor skill development.

  • Blocks & Construction: Building materials, such as blocks, Legos, and other manipulatives, fostering spatial awareness, problem-solving, and cooperative play.

  • Dramatic Play: Dress-up, play kitchens, and props for imaginative play, helping children develop social-emotional skills, creativity, and role-playing abilities.

  • Science & Discovery: Sensory tables, magnifying glasses, and nature exploration kits to spark curiosity and introduce early scientific concepts.

  • Reading & Literacy: A cozy reading corner with age-appropriate books, promoting language development and early literacy skills.

  • Math & Manipulatives: Counting games, puzzles, and sorting activities to introduce basic math concepts and enhance problem-solving skills.

Breakfast, Lunch and an afternoon snack are all served before and after your child's JK program.  For those children who are at Rays during rest time the children are given something quiet to do following a 30 minute rest.
